Since we do not normally charge for scanning (see note), sending an original photograph to us by mail probably is the most convenient and least expensive option for you. We are convinced it is entirely safe to ship your photograph by mail – especially if you pack your photograph carefully and ship it by a service that provides you with a tracking number. Please Note: Sorry but we are unable to scan in items larger than 8.5 by 11 inches We scan images from your 35mm negative film or slide, and produce digital files from them in the same manner as we do from normal photograph originals. Sorry, we do not repair the 35mm film or the 35mm slide material themselves. However, we do scan them at a very high resolution, from which we produce a positive photographic digital image. From there, we can now repair the damage or enhance them, as we would do from a normal photograph that has been scanned in. Please see our SHIPPING & PRICING Pdf Documentation.

From there we proceed to work on that file in its digital format. Your original photograph will remain unchanged and is returned to you when all work is completed.
